New Friends

It is such a pleasure for me to meet new people. This day was particularly special because Sue'Anne Dawson, Kim Marcum and I had a fine chat. From a discussion about personalities that evolved into novels, the minutes slipped away and I have made two new friends. I am blessed.

I snapped a couple photos of new friends at a Book's Plus book signing today in Fernandina Beach, Florida. It's always such a treat for me to meet folks and welcome them into my Amelia Island's Goodbye Lie world filled with suspense, family and romance and fun. The excitement is contagious!

New Friends

This greeting card I made reminds me how we
may come from all over the world, but we meet
near the crystal blue waters
surrounding Amelia Island, Florida and
our Goodbye Lie World.

No pics this time of my new friends I met at today's book signing, but I wanted to say hi to those whose names I remember. Hello Minnie, Jason, Diane, Linda, Mary Jane, Kathy, Pat, Linda, Joie, Lea and Annie. I forgot lots of names but as you get to know me, know I am the founding member of the 3 Second Memory Club. No rules, no meetings, and no dues. And every time I meet you, I'll ask if you want to join the club. If you say, "You already asked me," then sorry. You're over qualified because you remembered. Names aside, thank you to everyone and welcome to our Goodbye Lie World where Love, Lace and Laughter Reign!

… flailing her arms, she went on and on about what might have befallen him. "Why, it could have been you, burned beyond recognition instead of one of your boys. Your beautiful face. My God! What if something hurt your face?"
He grabbed her and shook her. His words were muted as he growled, "Shut up. Shut up. Not now. Leave me be. Please, I'm begging you. Just leave me be."
He left his fiancée standing in the center of town, quite puzzled. Actually, she didn't mind as much as she pretended. She could hear a buzz of whispering now and just naturally knew empathy was directed her way. He had been so mean to her.

I wanted to thank you for how "gracious" you were in meeting us and sharing a great evening of fun. ...We are meeting Friday with the rest of the girls who were not able to make it on the trip. They will be so jealous! It is true that we are officially "Good-bye Liars" since I know we will be back and not able to say good-bye to such a peaceful, relaxing place so full of history and stories that are waiting to be told. Year of Living Graciously

December - Don't deny yourself holiday treats. Just don't eat the entire tray.

November - Hold hands with a friend, sibling, child or mate - in public.

October - Tell a clean joke!

September - Relax when you can and avoid looking at a clock as much as possible.

August - Teach, show or learn some sort of hand sewing like knitting, crocheting, crewel, embroidery, cross-stitch, etc. before the art of hand creation is gone!

July - Spend the afternoon reviving a beat up piece of furniture or other object with several different colors of paint and put it outside in your garden.

June - Sing along with old-timey songs.

May - Try a brighter lipstick or a new aftershave.

April -Put fresh greenery and/or flowers on the table once a week. Free from your yard or a friend's is best if possible.

March- Write a love letter to your child, sibling, parent or special friend.

February - Wear a color you never do.

January - Watch a silent movie.
